You are invited to the spring plant dig at our gardens in Big Bend, Wisconsin. We dig and divide overgrown varieties of flowering plants at this early spring event. After division, we typically have too many of some plant varieties to use ourselves, so we offer the excess plants to our friends at Master Gardeners. Master Gardeners sell these plants to support their organization. Each year there is a slightly different batch of plants available in the dig. Volunteers work for several hours dividing, potting up, and labeling plants. As a reward, volunteers usually take home a complimentary plant or two as our gift.

Work in the dirt and get muddy. Talk with other Master Gardeners and have fun. Hope to see you at the plant dig!

I have decided to discontinue my formal annual plant sale. The digging, potting and care of the plants has become too time consuming and distracts me from what should be my main objective in the spring which is garden photography. I do plan however to offer people the opportunity to visit my gardens. If you are interested in this option, please click on the Form Mail below to set up an appointment to tour the yard.
