| Sarracenia leucophylla is native to North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. Hybrids containing any part of Sarracenia leucophylla have failed to perform well in our artificial bog structure. Most simply die. A few struggle on for several years, but look dreadful. My hunch is that Sarracenia leucophylla produce hybrids that are unsuitable for our artificial environment or climate. | |

Previous History: 6/24/2009 Struggling plant. 19 pitchers, 4 inches. Much shorter then last year. 6/16/2008 Two healthy plants. 15 pitchers, 11 pitchers with 1 flower bud. 10 inches. 7/4/2007 Healthy plants. 19 and 26 pitchers respectively, 8 inches tall. 5/1/2007 Two healthy plants. Transplanted directly into artificial bog in front yard. Full sun. Permanent home. Grower: 5/1/2007 J&K Orchids (Neenah, WI). 2 Plants. |
