Taxonomic Notes:
• Dockrillia - F.G. Brieger erected the genus Dockrillia in his 1981 paper for Die Orchideen. The genus was named for Alick Dockrill, an Australian orchidologist. Brieger reassigned Dendrobium wassellii to Dockrillia wassellii. The species was originally described by S.T. Blake in 1963.
  So far, Dockrillia wassellii has only ever been crossed once. Dockrillia wassellii was crossed with Dockrillia cucumeriana to form the 1993 RHS registered grex Dendrobium Zuchini.
