Family Orchidaceae
Family: Orchidaceae. Family of 25,000 of species of plants. Most are tropical and sub-tropical, but a few are temperate climate plants. There are three subfamilies of significant horticultural value: Cypripedioideae, Epidenroideae, and Vandoideae.
