It will totally replaced your family point-and-shoot film camera. Photograph a subject and instantly email the images - awesome! Best Nikon digital camera for under $750.
*****	Nikon Coolpix 5400 Digital Camera Excellent - 2nd best digital camera made. Very similar to the feature rich Nikon digital cameras, only cheaper. Image quality is near identical (4 megapixels rather than 6 or 8) - the quality is insanely great. This is a solid bargin. Best Nikon digital camera for under $600.
****	Nikon Coolpix 3700 Digital Camera Good - a perfect camera to introduce you to digital photography. Many features, lightweight, and cheaper yet. Image quality is sufficient for 8x10 prints (3 megapixels). Another solid bargin. A Nikon digital camera for under $350!
*****	Nikon SB-800DX Speedlight Excellent - Professional lighting with an external flash unit. Works with modern and classic Nikon camers. Perfect choice for demanding lighting requirements. Great Nikon Speedlight for about $330!
****	Nikon SB-50DX Speedlight Good - it's a good choice for an external flash unit. A must have accessory for digital camera users. Newer Nikon digital cameras require the special electronics found only in a modern Nikon Speedlight. The flash is adequate for portrait style lighting and fill-flash, but not sufficient for distant lighting. Distant lighting requires a bigger Speedlight with a higher Guide Number (and higher cost). This Nikon Speedlight is a good choice for portrait lighting, fill-flash, and closeup photography. A Nikon Speedlight for about $160!
****	USB Film Card Reader Good - if you bought a digital camera, you must get a card reader. All brands are about the same, nothing special about this one. Here's the concept, 20 images take about 15 minutes to download with the normal serial connection. With this gizmo, 20 images download in 45 seconds. Any questions? Buy a card reader! USB Film Card Readers are very inexpensive.
****	PCMCIA Film Card Good - if you bought a digital camera, you must get a larger film card. All brands are about the same, nothing special about this one. Here's the concept, 16 images at 1 megapixel each will fill a 16MB film card. Not good. You need a much larger capacity. This film card will hold hundreds of images. PCMCIA Film Cards are very inexpensive.
*****	NiMH batteries and a charger Good - if you bought a digital camera, you must get a special batteries. Again, all brands are about the same, nothing special about these. Do not buy Alkaline batteries - they don't work. Do not buy NiCd (Nikel Cadmium) batteries - they don't work. Buy NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydrite) batteries. Here's the delema, 4 Alkaline batteries will take 6 pictures, 4 NiCd batteries will take 3 pictures, 4 NiMH batteries will take l00 pictures. Buy 4 or 8 NiMH batteries and a charger! Charger and 4 NiMH batteries are very inexpensive.
